Hey everyone,
I just had this thought and was thinking that it would be a fun discussion topic:
What is the character/actress that, to you, is synonymous with an old age transformation?
Mine is Diane from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Series." I grew up watching this show, but after I saw the ep. "Honey, We're Young at Heart," I could never see her character as anything else but an old croon. Seemingly, I always found that I wished they would do a similar episode.
What are yours?

Laura Winslow from Family Matters. When I was around 11 or 12, sick in bed after playing too long outside in the rain, I binge watched the series on ABC Family. This one episode, the season when she was like 15 or 16, they have this dream fantasy where she woke up a 90 year old woman with a massive rear!
Loved Big Granny Butts ever since! 🤣

YES!! This exactly! This episode is a HUGE source of AP inspiration for me. I too grew up watching it, every Saturday. Diane was the epitome of MILF! Lol I fondly remember seeing the preview for that episode & being so excited that I was going to get to see her aged! I eagerly awaited the show that entire week & was not disappointed. The old age makeup was amazing, & I have to commend Barbara Alyn Woods' performance. Her movements, mannerisms, everything was perfect. I especially loved her old lady voice, like when she was answering the phone. The lady deserves alot more credit for her elderly portrayal lol Like you, after that episode, I always imagined Diane as a doddering old woman. I kept hoping for another episode like it too! Thete was an episode, "Honey You'll Always Be a Princess to Me" I think, that dealt with Diane's feelings about wrinkles & aging, & a sorceress & eternal youth, & I hoped somehow Diane would get her youth drained or something, but it never happened. Would have even loved a humorous reference to the time Wayne made her old. Oh well lol Whenever I watch the episode again, I find myself thinking aboutwhat happened in between, like how Diane aged to middle age before returning with the groceries, & her progression into old age during the time when they cut away to the kids. I always hoped that somehow she would be aged again, & watching the show I always imagined it..sexy as she was I couldn't help but see Diane as an old lady & hear her old lady voice. It provided alot of AP inspiration for me over the years! I actually would love to do a fanfic type story involving Diane aging again, or maybe exploring the moments in that episode that were cut away from, like her aging in front of the guy who always flirted with her that she mentioned, & a more detailed progression of her to old age. I even thought about doing a different version of the episode, like maybe Wayne just tested the device on her & Mrs. McGann, dealing with Diane's aging alone, growing old without Wayne & how different that would be. And there are always entirely new ways for her to be aged, with Wayne's experiments constantly going wrong. Would anyone be interested on working on something like that with me? I have a few ideas lol Needless to say, if I worked on that show, Diane would either have been aging or an old granny most of the time!

While I like Diane from "Honey I Shrunk the Kids", for me, the character that's synonymous with an old age transformation is Samantha Carter from the series finale of Stargate SG-1, "Unending". In the episode, the main Stargate team, SG-1, is fighting off aliens after acquiring other alien technology. In order to prevent their spaceship from being blown up, the female lead, Samantha Carter, activates a time dilation field, which essentially freezes time around their ship. The team stays on the ship for 50 years while they try to prevent their ship from being destroyed. I really enjoyed the old age makeup and how the characters (especially Samantha) acted elderly. In the end, one of the members of the team, the alien Teal'c, remains old, while everything's reversed. I've always imagined a different scenario in which Samantha remains old while everyone else becomes young, or just imagined what she would be like as an old woman.
