"What's wrong with prep girls? I went to prep school?" Clara asks thinking the picture of young Sunny looked a lot like she had at 18. She cringed thinking that getting stuck in the 60s had evolved such a pretty, upstanding young girl into the pot smoking old hippie in front of her.

Sunny couldn't help but laugh. " I mean, I'm speaking on a personal experience, sweetie." Sunny winked. "I was terrible, Thought I was better than everyone, thought I deserved the moon, and, oh boy, was I just plain awful to the other girls at my school!"
Sunny frowns. She truly regrets those days.
"Truth be told, that Bowler Hatted Scot did me a favor. See... uh... well, I'm gay." Sunny admits.
She's been loud and proud for years. But when she saw her younger self at that crepe stand, where she stood at all those years ago, get sent away with a flick of a finger, she can't help but feel kinda... shy?
"At eighteen, I was deep in the closet. Think that's why I was such a bitch to girls at my school. Honestly? It was a miserable time in my life. And as strange as it may sound, I hugged that weirdo for doing that to me. I'd have been trapped for Buddha knows how long otherwise!"

"Huh. Okay. That's great that you came out the other side of this with a healthy state of mind," Lexa coughs lightly at Sunny's fumes, "and an equally healthy cannabinoid habit. You seem to be the exception to the rule though. I can't speak for everyone else, but I'd go straight back to 27 in a heartbeat."
Lexa stands stiffly, pointing a thumb at the snack table. "Anyone else need coffee? I need coffee."

"Oh, I'd love a coffee. Thank you dearie." Kayla says, before freezing at her slip. "I mean Lexa!" She protests, flushing in shame and ducking her head slightly. She coughs slightly at the fumes coming from Sunny as well. "And I'd go back to 21 in a heartbeat too, easily. I hardly love being cared for 24/7."

"Being pampered and cared for actually sounds pretty sweet if it didn't required getting wrinkles and sagging boobs." Clara says imaging herself as the Queen of Sheba.

Lexa crossed over to the snack table, rubbing her sore thigh. Sitting that long on those terrible chairs wasn’t doing her achey hip any favors. And the stairs down here? She’d be feeling the burn tomorrow, while Skyler and Sunny might get a bit winded. She couldn’t even imagine what they’d be like for a brittle patient with knees like Kayla’s. God, she thought to herself, I’m thinking like Mom now.
She poured two coffees, then filled a plate with a smattering of sugars, cremes, and stirring straws, just like she saw the nurses do back at the hospital. "Being pampered and cared for actually sounds pretty sweet if it didn't required getting wrinkles and sagging boobs." Clara says imaging herself as the Queen of Sheba. “Sure, it sounds great, but I’ve visited a few assisted living facilities for school. They’ve done studies. The longer you’re there, the more it sucks the life out of you. You should get out every once an a while, Kayla. For your own good.”
She bends over the white haired woman and offers the coffee and the plate. “Sorry, I didn’t know how you liked it, but hey, at least you get to be in control of a little something today, right?”

"I do feel kinda bad for you gals." Sunny admits. "I wasn't like turned into an old lady, I became an old lady."
Please, keep in mind that Sunny is very, very high right now. She got some special gummy bears in her leather purse and she popped a few with her prune juice.
"Know what I mean?" Sunny tries to explain herself. "I mean, I guess I don't mind being 69, I wouldn't mind being 18 and nimble again, but I don't mind my age cause I eased into it. Ya know? I got to be 19, 25, 30, and 54. It really sucks you guys skipped out on all that. Sure, my metabolism was, like, destroyed in my thirties. And menopause was the worst! And I remember my first grey pube, I was all like 'Damn, guess I'm officially over the hill!', but, no offense, kinda glad I'm on a different boat with this. I think waking up 69 would be awful!"

"I got to be in my 30s for a couple of days. That wasn't so bad." Lexa admits, thinking back. She remembers looking up from a sneezing fit in the locker room to find a slimmer, more confident face, all her baby fat gone. Sure, she had a crow's foot or two creeping around her eyes and her chest was a little bigger, but overall she thought she looked... good. She felt good too! Everyone treated her like she was an actual professional, not some lowly resident. Besides, her normally loose fitting scrubs were suddenly snug in all the right places, and she was convinced she heard a couple of senior surgeons comparing 'medical opinions' on what she was pretty sure was her ass (which, ew, but also, thanks I guess?).
Lexa absent mindedly runs a hand across her now thicker backside, unsung and somewhat shapeless in the loose pants she had picked out with Monique at the outlet the other day. She sighs, wistfully. "I do miss that perky ass..."

"Hey, I think your butt is still pretty nice!" Sunny compliments. "And while we're at it, Lexa, you look incredible for 57! I mean it, wish I had that skin, girl! And that figure? You look great! Ha! Haven't been that slim since I was 35!... okay, 25! Damn Dunkin Donuts!" Sunny Laughs. "You can't stop at just one, at least I can't!"

Side note - If there was a TV show based on this support group, I would 100% cast Jennifer Coolidge as Sunny.

I 100% agree. Damn! Probably should've used Stiffler's Mom as my photo, huh? 😂

Since we appear to have hit a bit of an interlude how do we feel about jumping ahead to the next session? I'm going to put up a poll.

Question on your poll, the second option, so the characters outside of the support group?
That could be kinda cool. For example, I could picture Sunny hanging out with the guy who sent her back in time. It's weird, but she's got no resentment and actually thinks they could be friends.
So, they're eating at a regional burger chain, talking about obscure chains from like Hawaii, Great Britain, and Canada, and dude spots some snooty chick in line and changes her up, and Sunny can't help but ask how he targets for age progression.
A lot of it would be a plump, old hippy munching on a double cheeseburger with curly fries and big ole chocolate shake! 😹

Yeah that sounds really cool Kappa. It also gave me the idea that maybe one session we have a "bring a guest day" where you bring someone close to you to meet the group.
I think even if we jump ahead to the next session you could also do a bit of a "flashback scene' and do that lunch too if you want!

I think we may have talked about this before, but would a type A like Clara have given the group homework or something to work on between sessions?
She also ABSOLUTELY seems like the total type to recommend a "bring a guest to group" day.
