I had an idea a little bit ago that I thought could be interesting to explore..
I’ve seen plenty of places or objects that are malevolent when it comes to aging. I for one love me some mystical clocks that age ladies and femmes. However, in all my years perusing many of these spaces, I’ve never seen an AP story that takes place in a library.
I feel like it could be an interesting setting for this kind of story! Would the library itself cause the aging? Do the helpless young adults find a spell book in the restricted section and invoke the wrong spell? Do the age of certain books cause certain dilations, etc?
I would be very curious to hear people’s thoughts!

You’re right. Libraries are such a great backdrop for this sort of thing.
Some thoughts:
*the more knowledge you obtain, the older/wiser you get.
*getting caught up in a good read speeds up time around you, so before you know it you’ve finished but now your hair is grayer and your fingers ache.
* aisles seem endless, and the longer you’re trapped in the labyrinth the older you are when you emerge.
*reading more “mature” books (not erotic, just boring) makes you start to look and act older

I would be very curious to hear people’s thoughts! YES!! I love this idea & have had it on my mind recently, but it’s been in the back of my mind for a long time. I have just been looking for a way to put it into a story form. I’ve been fascinated with the idea of a library that ages women since I was in the 6th grade. At that time I voluntarily stayed after school to help in the library with some of my friends, our librarian called us “media bugs”. So I did that about every afternoon & there were some really old books in there & just that feeling of antiquity. Also our librarian, Mrs. Lee, I’ll never forget her she was awesome. She picked me specifically to be a library helper, she in my opinion had the hot librarian thing going on, curly shoulder length golden brown hair, stylish glasses etc. She may have been in her mid to late 30’s if that & I think I had a bit of a crush on her lol But being there in the library & being of the age that I was starting to have AP fantasies about attractive girls & women, & just that old feeling that some parts of the library had, I imagined somehow someone, Mrs. Lee in particular, aging in the library, like maybe something about the library itself made her age, & I could imagine her getting older & straining to look through her glasses with crow’s feet rimmed eyes. There was also a rocking chair in there that she would tell stories from to the younger classes, & I could imagine her aged sitting there rocking. And also maybe some of it starting to happen to some of the other library helpers(there was only a couple of other girls, so my focus was on Mrs. Lee.) she had an assistant that was young, she was a little on the chubby side but kind of cute, & I could imagine her being aged too. There was more to my inspiration behind it & Mrs. Lee in particular but it was definitely there. One time while arranging books I found a black book that just had a silver marking on the front & nothing else, no identifying marks, nothing, it was just a collection of really creepy horror stories, a really old book. I used to imagine that black book maybe being a hidden dark spell book that caused the aging or something, or something like that. But the library idea is such a great idea, it’s been in my head for years & would love to chat about it further & play around with it.
