😊You're making me blush, thanks for the kind words, addwulf.😉
Hope everyone enjoyed this little exercise.🏃🏽♀️
After all, I...
Off topic, I really can't wait to see Miranda Cosgrove pushing forty. Think she'll always look twelve or will time really pack a wallop on that baby face? 🤔👶🏻
Anyways... my last installment felt like a natural end, at least to me.
Gonna go a different direction on this. ➡️🛑⬇️
Here's a few notes , btw 📝
I call myself Kappa Evil Foot, but damn, do I lean towards a good ending!😂 Doesn't mean I hate misery, the contrary. But I seem to like my characters to have some silver lining. I dunno. 🤷🏼♀️ People are complex, the good guy can be a dick, the bad guy could be a vegetarian who loves puppies 🐶, and I'm just a turtle trying to explore my voice in transformation fictions.
Seem to really love letting my inner fan girl go wild, not mention drama. 👺
But enough about me, time to finish this story, yeah?!
It goes a little sumthin like...
Jaimie, cataract eyes shut from the flashing artificial lighting, brittle body wrapped tightly in a warm cotton, a red scarf wrapped around her veiny neck, sit in her wheelchair, shaky, disoriented, as her hearing aid picks up a strangely familiar tick and tock.
As best she could, the 89 year old senior citizen spots her shriveled, shrill, camel humped best friend stand in line, not too far from her sight, yet miles away with her deteriated vision.
As Samatha fumble with a walker wedged with her liverspotted bony hands, grunting audibly like a disgruntled old biddy, Jaimie, in a lucid state of mind can't help but think about the young woman Sam used to be.
And words from long ago are suddenly remembered.
<"Why do you hang out with her?"> A question is asked. It had to have been nearly sixty years ago, back in college. It was a good question. Samantha was a spoiled brat, arrogant, an embodiment of narcissism. And Jaimie? She people liked Jaimie, she was easy to be around, easy to talk to. She could make friends with just about anyone, and she did.
A cackle at the friendship makes Jaimie's withered face smile.
<"She's not really your friend."> And for sometime, Jaimie wasn't sure how to prove that wrong. At the time, maybe, Sam was only around for convenience? They were dormmates, friends because the school made that pairing.
Really, Sam's just a bitch she never got the nerve to tell off. Right?
"Are you hungry?" Sam crones, a receipt sticking out of her tacking, light purple purse.

MeanMark: Right? I maintain the opinion that they should have showed some sort of process for the TF, but still a great scene nonetheless.

kappa: I feel like the point of that scene was a conversation towards her fears with monogamous long term relationship. The Aging was merely an extension personified, AND, in the backseat of what was really going on. A couple communicating.

kappa: However, I'd have enjoyed a gradual progression, still, I kinda get that execution
