Amy Jones (Maiden names Rodgers) From: Original Character Current Age: 53 True Age: 21 Important Things To Know -Former college junior who had amassed a large following on instagram -Victim of an alternate reality device that transformed her into a married mom of 3 -Now works a sedentary job as a secretary -Has memories of her life as a college student but also has other competing memories -Hoping that being around other women like her will help her hold onto her old self as much as possible
An apple shaped woman suddenly waddled into the room. "I'm so sorry that I'm late, but I had to drop my youngest off at soccer practice. He's in the ninth grade and only has his learner's permit, so I'm still shuttling him around. I can't wait until he can drive himself. Maybe I can finally slow down a bit then. I swear the last twenty-five years raising those three has been so exhausting, but I wouldn't change a thing." At this moment, she paused, shook her head, and said "Damn it, I'm falling into it again."

Clara looked around the room a bit defensively as the women scowled at her and confronted her. "Well it's not so much the AMOUNT of years that we've lost right? It's the fact that we lost years at all that counts..." She began to argue. Then she saw a plump greying soccer mom-looking woman enter. "Oh hello!" she says quickly jumping up from her chair, thankful for the distraction. "Please fill out a name tag with your first name and true age and help yourself to coffee and snacks! We are just getting started by telling the story of how we found ourselves at our current ages." Clara says cheerily hoping to take some of the heat off of herself.
Kayla smirks slightly at Lexa's comment. "Well, I suppose I could join the angry mob, if in spirit alone."
With a creak of her aching neck, she turns to the new arrival. "I'm sorry to ask, but didn't you say that you had to drop your kid off? How come you even have kids? Are you sure you're in the right place?"
Grabbing a cup of coffee, Amy sighed and said, "I'm afraid so. Two months ago I was a junior in college. I was majoring in broadcast journalism and was developing quiet a following on instagram. You should have seen how many likes I got after I posted my bathing suit pictures from last spring break." She trailed off for a moment as if temporarily lost in memories of being young and sexy. "Anyway about a month ago I went to bed in my room at the Sigma Kappa sorority house after a night of partying pretty hard and the next day I woke up feeling really sore. I turned over in the bed and found a middle aged balding man sleeping next to me."
"I jumped out of bed and suddenly felt a sharp pain in my knee. I remember looking down and first realizing that my once pert breast were now resting on my new spongy gut. I think I might have fainted right then if I had heard a voice yelling my name coming from another part of the house. I through on a robe and walked down stairs. When I get to the bottom of the stairs, I find a lanky teenage boy and a teenage girl who looks a lot like I use to look except she had blond hair. It turns out I'm now a mother of three. My oldest daughter is in college. She's actually in my old sorority. I'm so proud of her."
"Anyway I didn't know what else to do but fall into my role as wife and mother. Nobody seems to remember the old me, and most people would find this story crazy. The only trouble is I'm having a harder and harder time remembering my old life and am feeling more comfortable as a middle aged mom. I'm hoping that spending some time talking with you ladies will help me hold onto a little bit of my old self. However, I might have to leave early during some meeting. I have to pick Daniel up from practice and then attend a PTA meeting."
Kayla listens to your story quietly, fiddling with her hearing aids slightly. "Ah...I see. If it's worth anything, I'm sorry for assuming that you were lost. I know what it feels like to have everybody thinking you're some old crone...well not so much in your case." She pauses for breath. "Well, if what I see on your name badge is true, we used to be the same age. Hell, we might even have gone to the same high school."

Clara smiled politely and decided to choose her words carefully as to not incite another riot. "That... sounds awful. But i'm sure it's nice to know you have a loving family... even if they aren't the loving family you were planning on having for a few more decades. Your parents didn't notice your change? They didn't think it was odd to suddenly have a daughter as old as them?" She asked out of curiosity. "My mother basically bought me a one-way ticket to a new state when the doctors told them what had happened to me. She said people would do the math and it would reflect *poorly* on her." Clara said somewhat bitterly.
Turning to Kayla, Amy said, "I went to George Washington High, class of 2016. I was on the cheerleading squad and was voted "Most likely to Bring Home to Your Parents" which I guess is sort of ironic since I skipped that step...although weirdly I do have memories of meeting Doug's parents for the first time back in 1988. My middle daughter is now a senior at George Washington and she is a cheerleader too! Last Friday at the basketball game, I watched her nail her routine and was so proud. Although I'll admit sometimes I get jealous about how good she looks. It makes me feel really self-conscious about my own body. I use to be able to command a room and now when I am at work I feel totally invisible to the men who walk by."
"As for my parents, whatever caused this reality shift changed that too. I'm now my mother's younger sister although only by eighteen months which also makes me the aunt of my sister and brother. I'm sorry to hear about your mom, Clara. Have you tried reaching out to here recently. I can't imagine a four year age bump could cause that many problems."

Clara rolled her eyes at the thought of reaching back out to her mom. "She's made up her mind. She said she didn't want people thinking she had be a child bride and had a teen pregnancy... she's 58 by the way." Clara says with a smirk and then immediately changes the subject, going back to her upbeat sing-songy voice. "But Amy segues really well into another important topic - really the worst part of what has happened to us - the loss of our looks and sex appeal. Who has a story they want to share about that?" She asks making a check on her agenda.
Lexa feels a tiny pang of guilt hearing what Clara’s mother thought of her sudden aging. She rubs her temples with a sigh, quickly sliding the glasses off and clipping them into the collar of her sweater. No need to make them a habit or anything.
“If it helps, my mom is a little too supportive about this whole thing. I mean—listen, I know I’m being unfair— but, like, it was hard enough having her constantly hinting that I should be ‘looking my best’ for the boys on campus back when I was thirty pounds lighter, my hair was bouncy and brown and these,” she cups her sagging breasts, giving them a pick-me-up in her knitted sweater, “were back up around here.” To prove her point, she lets them slide back down for dramatic effect.
Lexa rolls her eyes thinking back. “You know she used to complain to me constantly that I simply had to make time between all my studying, otherwise I was just gonna burn through the prime of my dating life and- spoiler alert- she was right. Hell, she'd email me Valerie’s Secret coupons, makeup Pinterests and gossip mag advice on dating all the time. Now though? It’s her favorite support bras, or articles called “Menopause And Me” or adverts for practical, padded panties which— thanks Mom but I don’t think I’m ready for just yet!”
Lexa sinks back into her chair with a groan, glaring at the ceiling. “God, I miss pushing thirty instead of sixty! It was so much…less…uuuugh!”
"I guess the bright side, if you could call it that, would be my girlfriend Amy..." Skyler interjects.
"I was zapped first, and then...here she came to my rescue. She mouthed off to the monster and defended me...I was awestruck...then she was zapped too, of course. But I can honestly say that our relationship is better than it's ever been, having gone through that together. Sure, our bodies are a little saggier and we fall asleep on the phone most nights by 8 PM but...we're in love."
"Well, I suppose my parents' reaction would be in the middle. My parents...I honestly don't know what they think. They visit me every week, but they seem a lot more distant." Kayla says, wincing as she shrugs.
"As for the changes in body, I think it's very plain how this has affected me. I doubt I could pull any man under the age of 80, and even then, I'm not sure if I could handle sex like I used to." She mutters the last part, as if to herself.
Her shaking hands take out a photo from a pouch under her rolling support frame. "This is a picture of me, just a few weeks before the...incident" She explains, passing the photo around.

Lexa takes the photo from Kayla's rough, trembling hand, struck by just how different the perky young blonde in the photo was to the tired, sagging geriatric sitting next to her in her walking rig.
"Yeah, the last thing I wanted to do was get back in the dating game. I'd forgotten to delete any of my online profiles and the other day I noticed I have these guys in my inbox expecting, well, see for yourself..." Lexa fishes out her cellphone, swipes a few times, and holds it up.
"They'd probably think I was my own mother, catfishing them with her daughter's profile pics." Lexa hands Kayla's photo over to Skyler.

Clara looks at Kayla's phone after Lexa. "Oh my god Kayla! Girl you were smoking hot! I love your dress do you still have that? I bet it would still fit you!" She says encouragingly. "God, I can NOT even imagine dating a guy in his 80s. Like what would you all talk about? I mean, I find it really weird to be dating a guy younger than me now but at least we have a lot of the same generational tastes in like music and TV and stuff. I could NOT imagine trying to date a guy who doesn't know how to work a smart phone or what reality TV is!" She says as she looks at Lexa's phone now.
"Oh wow you were super cute too! In a geeky sexy-doctor kind of way! You should totally keep your dating profile. I can help you update it if you like. And I think you should TOTALLY e-mail back those guys - who knows? Maybe you'll meet a stud that's into cougars!" She says with an optimistic smile.
She takes a sip of water and a deep breath. "Well I suppose if everyone is sharing it's only fair that I do too! This is me before that fateful day." Clara says solomnly as she holds up an image on her phone.
(Side note - LOVE all the 'before' images you guys are finding. Also, I'm so PSYCHED that I was able to do a reverse image search of the photo I used for Clara and find this pic that is the exact same woman just looking *slightly* younger)
ark: Whooaaa that mattress scene

MeanMark: Right? I maintain the opinion that they should have showed some sort of process for the TF, but still a great scene nonetheless.

kappa: I feel like the point of that scene was a conversation towards her fears with monogamous long term relationship. The Aging was merely an extension personified, AND, in the backseat of what was really going on. A couple communicating.

kappa: However, I'd have enjoyed a gradual progression, still, I kinda get that execution
