Very interesting, I definitely wasn't expecting things to wrap there. Was the epilogue a flash forward, and how did Dr. Cross and Ripper get out of their predicaments? You've got a good hook for another chapter at some point, and we still don't know what was causing everything. I look forward to more when you're ready.

Hey all,
Thanks for the well-wishes! Definitely wasn't feeling rushed. Real-life just got a bit busier as this story was getting more complex and so it became more challenging to churn out more entries. Meanwhile i've been cooking up some new different AP projects in my head that i'm excited about and really don't have the bandwidth to juggle multiple stories at once.
So i've brought the story to a stopping point for now. As you can see this is meant just to be the end of chapter 1. If interest in the story and the characters still remains later this year I intend on taking this back off the shelf and continuing. But considering all of the kind support this story has received I didn't want it to just fade away unceromoniously without some form of conclusion even if this is a 'soft' ending rather than a hard ending. A pin in things, if you will.
Thanks everyone for your enthusiasm and participation in this story. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I hope this last bit was satisfying and I think you'll hopefully have fun with the new thing i'm soon to begin working on.
Feel free to continue commenting on things you might like to see going forward in this story, and as I said I will eventually be picking back up with Kimberly, Isabella, Queefer, Jordyn, Ripper and Zoe!

We can call this a checkpoint, we leave it here until you want to continue it, that way we can all be hyped but not too much

I really enjoyed the dialogue in these stories especially the line “ the past will kill you faster than the future” Having both mental and physical aging makes for so many interesting scenarios. I very much enjoyed this.

“the past will kill you faster than the future” This is actually something that I heard my partner's aunt say one time. She's a former 80s rocker so I felt it was fitting to have Isabella borrow this line.
