This weeks question is short and sweet, like your high school crush when she's been aged into a little old lady! What is your favorite example of animated AP? (This can include film animation, tv cartoons or anime)I think there are a LOT of great candidates in this category but I think one that i've always loved personally was the AP in the Captain Caveman episode "The Creepy Claw Caper": (AP begins at about the 8:10 mark). My only wish was that the character Robin was also turned into a wrinkled old woman as well!

So this is a really tough decision for me, but if I had to pick one to be my "favorite" it would have to be: Codename Kids Next Door - Operation Z.E.R.O.
AP Scene HereThis TV movie has some pretty decent AP sequences, but the above video shows the best one. What makes this one so great is that the AP is treated as a "zombie invasion," where the transformation can occur to the victim simply by touch. The visual of the Senior Citi-Zombies grabbing their victims and quickly turning them old has always stuck with me as one of my favorite AP scenes, both animated and live action. Honorable Mentions: Grossology: Oldie but a Goodie
Camp Lakebottom: Nanny Num Nums
Regular Show: Party Bus

I had never seen the Camp Lakebottom episode! Thanks for sharing.
I've never been a huge fan of the Codename Kids Next Door AP episodes, which is a bummer since they actually have a decent amount of them. It just feels too much like they are transforming into zombie/monsters rather than old people to me.

Honestly, this was the only KND AP that I ever liked because it's pretty original feeling.

Josie and the Pussycats: Don't Count on a Countess Yeah I loved this episode too and the back and forth age-changing. My one nit pick is that inexplicably the women's skirts got longer every time they turned old. So we never got to see Josie or Melody running around as grannies in their usual short skirts.

I completely forgot about the Josie episode! The rapid back-and-forth is really well done for its time. Would love to see a modern series take something similar to this on.

One of my personal favorite, aside from the Josie episode, was the Gargoyles episode, "Grief." The aging in that was incredible and I loved when Jackpotmans put up the rejuvenations in reverse. I also love the little bit of aging in "Time Flies" from the Beetlejuice animated series. Clocks aging women is always something I enjoyed.

My two favorite animated APs are #1 Josie and #2 Gargoyles, which have already been mentioned. Another one of my favorites is my personal choice as the best Codename Kids Next Door AP scene, which actually is both AP and AR. Operation G.R.O.W.-U.P.

All mentions so far have been favorites of mine... One that hasn't been mentioned here yet is that episode of Dungeons & Dragons in which the characters each face their fears, "Quest of the Skeleton Warrior." In it, Diana is aged and forced to face her fear of becoming weak and old.

Not really my favorite but the scariest I've seen was from the Hercules movie and the "So Many Birthdays" episode from Steven Universe.

Not really my favorite but the scariest I've seen was from the Hercules movie and the "So Many Birthdays" episode from Steven Universe. Okay, so it left the most impact on ya. That's cool. Is there any example you found enjoyable? Ex: American Dragon Jake Long, when Spud and Trixie are magically drained into seniors and sent to a assisted living home for mythical creatures. So much of that put a smile on my face. The elderly mermaid taking a nap, drooling on herself for moisture, the gnome with dementia, Trixie as a thic old lady 😋
