Does the list have to be current/living actresses, or can the list be deceased actresses who died when they were young?

No particular order Kate Mara Ashley Greene Dianna Agron Honorable Mention: Blake Lively (I would have listed Milana Vayntrub as well) Kate is a good one as well. She has the kind of mouth and lips that will develop a noticeable amount wrinkles as she ages.

Honestly, I wanted a natural redhead on my list and the fact that I've thought about Kate aged was just icing on the cake. I had to think several days about my list because both kingfaraday and yourself both had good choices especially since I would have included some of them in my own list, particularly Emilia Clarke and Cobie Smulders as well as special mentioning Milana Vayntrub. Hopefully more people will share their lists...

- Gemma Chan
- Chloe Bennet
Honorable Mention: Marilyn Monroe
For those of you that aren't familiar, Gemma Chan is a British actress, who is currently staring in the science fiction show, Humans, where she plays a consciousness android (a robot who is "alive/has a soul"), named Mia. I also want to through in Marilyn Monroe because I've always wanted to see how she aged, if she was alive today.

Some great lists MeanMark and ray, thanks for sharing. Oh I just gotta say that if I wanted a natural redhead on the list, I would have put Karen Gillan even though she's already been aged on Dr. Who. I did considered Karen Gillan for a moment, but the Who episode made me shy away.

I have never watched the series, however have seen her makeup job from that particular episode and thought it was just...okay. Does her acting as someone older save it?

MeanMark, I've seen the episode a few times and her acting older doesn't really save it. Though, I don't know if you're thinking that because she looks like an old lady, that she has to act like a normal old lady. I do believe that in the episode Amy was in her 20s and was aged to her 50s/60s (it's been a while since I've seen it). So for her still having some spunk at the age she was playing in the episode, plus with the situation going on in the episode, her acting was appropriate. In all honesty though, I've always been curious to see what Amy would have been like in 2012 (the time of the episode "The Angels Take Manhattan"), after she got sent back in time at the of the episode. According to the tombstone of the graveyard that they visited at the end of the episode, she was 84 when she died.

MeanMark, the older Amy that Karen portrays is basically a middle aged warrior who has been fighting the computer system from killing her because it thinks she has an illness or something. So like Ray said, Karen's acting is appropriate for the story going in the episode. I have to agree with you about the make up, given the story older Amy should be more stress worn and grayer, BUT the BBC's old age makeups are usually subpar as both Karen in the episode you referenced and Jenna Coleman in a Christmas Special in 2014 had some poor old age make up as well (one hopes that if she continue to plays Queen Victoria until her death, the makeup will be good). I agree with you Ray, I wish they would have found a picture of an older Rory and Amy as that might have created a better resolution for both fans and the Doctor in story.
